The day will help attendees develop an understanding and awareness of trauma and dissociation in order for their counselling/ therapeutic practice to assist people with such experiences.

This workshop will be exploring:

 

  • The link between trauma, attachment and dissociation
  • Understanding the spectrum of dissociation and dissociative disorders (including Dissociative Identity Disorder)
  • Identifying and responding to dissociation when it happens in the room
  • Working with trauma related-dissociation
  • Understanding the perspective of someone who experiences dissociation/DID
  • How we can help in counselling
