Neuropsychology 2: Cognitive Assessment

Go Back

This workshop focuses on the psychological assessment of cognitive abilities, in particular the use of cognitive psychometric assessment tools, such as the WAIS-IV, the RBANS and the K-DEF.

Delegates will become familiar with not only the basic principles of psychometric assessments but the more advanced considerations of domains, patterns of results and how these might provide more information than specific numerical score results obtained.

The workshop is one of a series of four planned to provide counselling psychologists with neuropsychological knowledge to apply within their own area of practise.

Delegates are advised to attend these workshops in order to gain the maximum from their attendance and will be encouraged to carry out work between workshops to aid integration of neuropsychology into their practice.

Each workshop will encourage delegates to consider how their learning maps onto the Neuropsychology competences.
