SfDBT ANNUAL CONFERENCE and PRE CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

Go Back

An important development for Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) over the past decade is its adaptation for multi-diagnostic adolescents. DBT for adolescents was developed by Drs. Jill Rathus, Alec Miller, and Marsha Linehan, to address the developmental needs of and unique challenges posed by these adolescents and their caregivers. In this workshop, Dr. Rathus will provide an overview of the adaptations made to standard DBT that involve working with caregivers. These will include discussion of conducting DBT family sessions and parenting sessions, running multi-family skills training groups, and teaching the Walking the Middle Path skills module.
