Stories of Psychology: Psychology, Society, and the Public

Go Back

This year’s edition of the History of Psychology Centre’s annual public event, "Stories of Psychology", takes as its theme the public psychologist.

The purpose of this event is to examine the ways in which psychologists, both past and present, have interacted with the public to provide understanding of social issues and anxieties, e.g. war, politics, crisis, technological change and economics.

The speakers including historians, broadcasters and psychologists, will also be looking at the changing media used from pre-war BBC radio talks to the current multi-media channel and social media outlets.
